How to choose a portable keyboard
Foldable or compact?
A foldable (tri-fold) keyboard closes to roughly the size of a phone, so it fits in a bag or jacket pocket, then opens to a near full-size layout. It suits commuters, students and anyone who types on a tablet or phone away from a desk.
Built-in touchpad
A keyboard with a touchpad lets you move the cursor without packing a mouse. Some models, such as the Nillkin Cube Pocket Keyboard, combine the touchpad and number pad in one surface.
Multi-device Bluetooth
Multi-channel Bluetooth lets you pair more than one device and switch between them, which is useful if you move between a phone, tablet and laptop during the day.
Check the layout
Keyboards are sold with UK or US layouts. A US layout has no £ key and a different Enter key shape. We state the layout clearly on every keyboard product page.
